When ever I shop for a printer, I always look at what it costs to keep it supplied. I like Epson because you are only buying ink tanks as opposed to an HP where when you buy an ink cartridge, you are also buying a print head. I guess I will go make my purchase - FINALLY!! I have read on the reviews for the c5280 that some people had to update the drivers from the hp website b/c the ones that came with the printer were outdated and the printer wasn't working properly.
I do wish this printer had a USB port for hooking up a digital camera directly and/or a network port - although other models support this f eature - those printers also drop the ability to print directly onto a printable CDs and DVDs.ĭue to the way Epson inkjet printers waste ink and do not have recyclable cartridges - I would highly recommend this printer or the HP C6280 - that has a front USB port and built in ethernet port for hooking up to a wireless router.Ĥ of 4 people found this review helpful.Thanks Dave. The prints in fast draft mode are still clear and almost laser quality - using far less ink. It has a very straightforward - direct from camera media printing fuction and a very easy to understand quick color copy function. It prints directly onto CDs and DVDs using a separate tray. This particular HP All In One has been one of more favorite HP printers. I've owned dozens of HP printers - mostly so I can test them to recommend them to customers. I only use and buy HP printers mostly due their features and the ability to recycle ink cartridges. HP C5280: Great printer/prints directly on CDs DVDs
