Wright was killed Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop. She was later released after posting a $100,000 bond.
Protesters have called for more severe charges to be brought against the former city officer arrested Wednesday in connection with Wright’s death.įormer officer Kim Potter was booked into the Hennepin County Jail and charged with second-degree manslaughter by Washington County prosecutors, who handled the case at the behest of Hennepin County.
